Home healthcare services provider Portea Health Care Medical has just raised USD 37.5M Series B round of Funding from its existing investor Accel Partners.
The funding round, also participated International Finance Corporation (IFC- a World Bank arm), Qualcomm Ventures and Ventureast, led by Accel Partners.
Portea Health Care a home Healthcare Portea Medical, founded by Meena Ganesh a serial entrepreneur and an Angel Investor in mid 2013.
Currently operational in 24 Indian and 4 Malaysian Cities, Porteal Medical is growing fast as healthcare service provider at home and handling 60K visits a month to patient’s home.
A current team of 3000+ professionals are working hard at their Bangalore-India office to make the things happen, and they are planning for 5000 additional recruit in next 18 months with this round of funding as part of Company’s growth plan.
Portea Health Care had previously raised USD 9 Million Series A round in Dec’13 from Accel Partners, Qualcomm Ventures and Ventureast.
“Home healthcare in India is a massive and strategic initiative for the country and addresses a huge gap,” says Ganesh. “There are huge opportunities, the potential to create millions of jobs is vast, and finally, it could be a major contributor to better health to Indians.”
