Experiential gifting company Giftxoxo has acquired leisure booking startup Yipeedo. Giftxoxo recently launched a mobile app , Frogo , which is aimed at allowing users to discover leisure activities in their cities. Yipeedo’s co-founders Shalini Nautiyal and Dhiraj Kathuria have been  brought onboard the Frogo project, and are all set to contribute to it by adding their phenomenal expertise.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

What is Giftxoxo?

Bangalore-based Giftxoxo was founded in 2012 by Sumit Khandelwal , Manoj Agarwal , Abhishek Kumar and Kushal Agarwal. Giftxoxo aims at enabling people to live their lives to the fullest by checking out various leisure activities and enjoyable experiences. A wide variety of enjoyable activities can be availed of, and these are included within a number of categories such as Adventure , Gourmet , Tours and Getaways , Educational Tours , etc. Users on Giftxoxo can also avail of gift vouchers, or personalized experiences via the “Gift Box”.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

The Frogo app, and the Yipeedo angle

Frogo aims at enabling users to avail of Giftxoxo’s services via mobile platforms, and according to Manoj, it will cater to the needs of the hitherto underserved last mile entertainment options segment in India. The Yipeedo team, which launched the Yipeedo beta web-version in mid-2014, will greatly add value to the Frogo app, ensuring that users can book exciting experiences in a hassle-free way. Yipeedo used a recommendation engine which allows users to discover movies, food and a whole host of recreational activities suiting the user’s tastes. The integration of such technology is bound to give the Frogo concept a great leap forward.
