Cyient Inaugurates global design center in Bengaluru for SMEC

Cyient, a global leader in engineering, design-led manufacturing, and aftermarket solutions,  today inaugurated a new global design center in Bengaluru, for SMEC, an Australian  professional services company recognized around the world for providing high-level consultancy services on major infrastructure projects. The facility, a dedicated center of excellence built and operated by Cyient, is SMEC’s first offshore design center, and will support SMEC’s global design work primarily around civil and structural, including Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Located at Cyient’s Electronic City campus in Bengaluru, the fully functional and scalable center is a result of the  engagement between Cyient and SMEC. The center which will commence its operations from July 2016, is expected to scale up to 100 full-time engineers within a year, and grow significantly each year thereafter, generating new employment.
