Online custom shirt firm- Bombay Shirt Company raises Rs. 6.6 Crore

Patni Group and a new undisclosed investor, invested Rs. 6.6 Crore in Bombay Shirt Company in a recent funding round. Startup is based in Mumbai, financial capital of India.

Talking about the development, founder Akshay Narvekar said, “The capital will be deployed to expand to other cities – Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai – as well as key hires in the technology space.”

Launched in May 2012 by Akshay Narvekar, who was earlier associated with BCBG Max Azria and Everstone Capital Private Equity. It let it’s customers to either buy already available BSC designs or customize them. It provides with various types of fabric and colours to make your design one of a kind.


Ankit Vora was appointed as vice president of finance and business development. Vora has worked with Parallel49 Equity in US. BSC started its business with two stores in Mumbai in 2014, the year when brothers Amit and Arihant Patni made a seed investment in the company.
