Huawei P9 Launched in India for Rupees 39999 with Dual 12MP Camera!

Just a few days ago Huawei launched their newest device the Huawei P9 at a press event in New Delhi, India. The Chinese company earlier introduced the Honor brand in India which focuses the budget segment. For future plans, the company revealed they will be using the Huawei brand for their flagship devices in India The Huawei P9 also focuses the flagship market and its main attraction is the dual 12 MP camera along with the full metal unibody design.

The dual camera is designed by one of the pioneer brands in photography, Leica. There is a monochrome lens and a RGB lens in the camera setup and the final image is produced by combining both the images. This ensures the camera to get more detail along with good depth into the photographs.

According to Huawei, the lens used in the phone has a pixel size of 1.25µm which helps to get more light into the lens even in low lighting conditions. The company also claims that Huawei is first to introduce hybrid focus system which assists the camera in taking better photographs in different environments. The hybrid focus system is the combination of laser autofocus, depth, and contrast measurement sensors all working together.  The other key feature of the camera is the IMAGEsmart 5.0 technology does the post-processing of the photographs. Also, it is very easy for a user to create bokeh effects while keeping the main object in sharp focus. As per as the front facing camera is concerned, it is a 8 MP camera with F/2.4 aperture.

In terms of other specifications, the smartphone comes with a Kirin 955 Octa core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The display is a 1080p display and it also has a 2.5D curved glass. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow and has company’s own EMUI 4.1 on top of it. The powerhouse of the device is a 3000 mAh battery and for storage, it has  a 32GB Internal Storage.

For connectivity, the device has an option for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB Type-C. And yes, the device has a fingerprint scanner with biometric scanning technology to ensure security. With all this and the eye-catching camera, Huawei has still managed to make the phone thin at 6.95mm with no camera bumps. The phone weights at 144 grams. In India, the smartphone is available to buy on Flipkart for Rupees 39,999 with 2 years of warranty.
