After official Windows 10 Anniversary update Microsoft’s work to make Windows 10 more beautiful hasn’t halted for even a moment. Microsoft has launched yet another new build this week and the build number is now 14931. These insider builds are part of Microsoft’s upcoming big update Redstone 2. The Redstone 2 is scheduled for a launch in sometime mid-2017. As Microsoft has already released a number of builds there is a chance we might see big changes and new features in coming builds. However, this new build doesn’t feature any new things, except one. Windows 10 now features native support for USB Audio 2.0 devices. Here’s what Dona Sarkar, the head of Windows 10 development project, said in a blog post.
We now have native support for USB Audio 2.0 devices with an inbox class driver! This is an early version of the driver that does not have all features enabled, for e.g.: only playback (render) is supported with this version. Recording (capture) support is scheduled to arrive in later iterations. We encourage you to play with the driver and let us know what you think (using the Feedback app).
Other than all these, some Microsoft Apps like Skype Preview, Feedback Hub and Maps were also updated. To download the new build just go to Windows Update (Only if you are a Fast ring Windows Insider). But if you are not registered as a Windows Insider yet, just head over this link to get started.
