HP ProBook x360 11 G1 Education Edition – for kids!

The all new HP ProBook x360 is a 2 in 1 laptop made for school gooing kids.  The firm claims that this is the thinnest rugged laptop in the world.

It has a 360-degree hinge which rotates completely into a tablet or even a tent stand for ease of viewing. Nevertheless, there’s a dual camera system which uses a 1080p HD camera embedded in the keyboard to let users take video in tablet mode as well.

This new laptop is having a hard industrial rubber chassis. The laptop will come with  Corning Gorilla Glass 4 (optional). the firm claims that the device has gone through several hardest test, just to pass MIL-STD 810G standard.

This laptop is specially designed for school-going kids.  Of course, the spilling of water from a kid’s hand is normal, but not when it’s the case of a laptop. So the engineers of the firm added an extra layer of protection from spills. This layer protects the laptop from maximum 12 ounces of water flow. The keyboard is set in such a way that the keys cannot be scratched out by the kids.

It supports digital Pen writing as well, and HP will sell the Active Pen as an additional accessory.

Now time for specifications!

ProBook x360 will feature an 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366×768. It has Windows 10 Anniversary Update preinstalled. Coming down to processor side, the laptop will run on Intel’s Celeron or Pentium processor. The battery is designed to provide 11 hours of battery life on a single charge. After all, a laptop is designed for portability and power is a must, especially when it comes to kids.

It will offer 64GB of inbuilt storage, 8GB of RAM, and do has a microSD card slot.

Ports

There are two USB 3.1 ports, one USB Type-C ports, one HDMI 1.4b port, one AC power connector, and one 3.5mm audio jack.

Overall, the features are well suited for a school going kid. But HP should have provided more storage instead of 64GB. Installed windows take about 16-20GB of HDD space when fresh. But with time, it will keep on consuming the memory, making the system quite slow. But that’s not all. Let’s see if this laptop passes the faith of public that easily as it passed MIL-STD 810G standard.
