Finally, after most other apps, Netflix has added the ability to download TV shows and movies. The feature is now available on Netflix’s own shows like Orange is the New Black, Stranger Things, The Crown and others. Moreover, the download feature is also available on select movies and TV shows. Netflix adds that the new feature is available for all plans and you can download your favorite item on your phone as well as on your tablet.

Downloading and watching content offline is especially useful for those who travel a lot. Also, people with limited internet or in places where internet expensive can get the most of this new addition. For most of the people, the feature is now available with the most recent update. Once updated, you will see an ‘Available for Download’ which lists all titles available for offline storage. You will be able to either download in standard or Higher Quality. All the titles you download will be accessible from the ‘My Downloads’ section. As of now, it looks like the contents are saved locally and can’t be moved to the SD card.
