As an Android Users, we know that how a resource hog Facebook apps are! Since a big a resource hog the apps can be, recent reports say that the apps have an increment in power consumption.
With recent updates, it seems that the apps’ power consumption has slightly increased.
Some users reported as much a 1% every minute when Messenger is open.
This issue was taken on twitter. Messenger’s head David Marcus apologized in a very gentle manner and has even explained the problem. You can read his tweet from here.
Facebook itself is still a significant battery hog, but even when you’re playing games with friends Messenger is usually not too bad.
David Marcus suggests that reset the app and you are good to go! The problem from the server side now doesn’t exist, and resetting the app will not consume any more power.
