ACT Fibernet Launches 1 GBPS Optical Fiber Broadband Service in Hyderabad

[appbox amazonapps ]ACT Fibernet, one of the top broadband service provider in south India has launched 1 Gbps broadband service. The new Gigabit broadband plans will go live today in Hyderabad. ACT claims to be the largest non-telecom service provider in India. Their broadband service uses optical fiber wires. ACT Further claims that they provide 400 times faster internet than the average download speed of 2.5 Mbps in India.

The 1 Gbps broadband plan will cost ₹5,999 per month. For ₹5,999 you will be getting superfast internet speed with 1 Gbps bandwidth. However, the plan will include a FUP (Fair Usage Policy) till 1 TB. Post 1 TB, the bandwidth will decrease to 10 Mbps. This will continue until the validity period. This plan is called ACT Giga plan and it will cost the user one-time installation charge of ₹5,000.

For the ISP Hyderabad has always been an important market. ACT also provides regular upgrades and maintenance too. However, it is still unknown if ACT will be upgrading the packages of the current customers who are paying the same amount for 200 Mbps plan.

In recent times, ACT has claimed that they are the 3rd best broadband service provider in whole India. Telangana’s IT minister Taraka Rama Rao said that the 1 Gbps speed provided by ACT in Hyderabad would help fulfil his vision of making Telangana a tech and digitally advanced hub. ACT will be expanding the new plan to 11 more cities in India.

India being the 2nd largest market in internet connectivity globally is said to reach 600 million users by 2020. Identically, with such initiatives from the broadband service providers and government efforts this could become a reality soon.
