How to register your account for the MacOS Sierra public beta?

If you have not joined any public beta before, you’ll need to start by signing up with your Apple ID. Otherwise, you can just sign in with your apple ID and continue.

  1. At first, go to beta.apple.com in Safari on your Mac.
  2. Click on Sign up to start the process.
  3. Enter your Apple ID email address and password.
  4. Now click Sign in.

Next, we will need to do some downloads.

How to enroll your Mac in the MacOS Sierra public beta?

It is fairly easy. Just follow the steps mentioned below.

  1. Go to beta.apple.com
  2. Click on the MacOS tab.
  3. Now click on the Download MacOS Sierra public beta access utility button.
  4. The file should be there in your Downloads window.
  5. Double-click the package to run the installer.

Once the downloading is finished, the Mac App Store will automatically open the Updates section. Click Update to download and install the public beta software. Your Mac will restart automatically once the download is over.

MacOS Sierra installer will run automatically once your download finishes. Once it is launched perform the following steps.

  1. Click Continue.

  2. You may get prompted to do a backup. If so click on Continue.
  3. Click Continue at the bottom once your backup completes.
  4. Agree and accept the licensing terms.
  5. Click Agree again to confirm.

  7. Click Install.
  8. Enter the administrator password and click OK.
  9. Wait for your Mac to restart automatically.
