Finally, after a long time, Samsung is coming back with two good laptops this year. Yesterday, we reported about Samsung’s first ever gaming laptop. Today, they have launched their updated Notebook 9 ultrabook. The new Notebook 9 will be available in 13 and 15-inch variants. This new ultrabook from Samsung has got a complete makeover from last years Notebook devices. The design now offers traditional laptop design and it looks far better. However, the most interesting part is this laptops are super thin and light weight. The 13-inch and 15-inch version weigh under 1.1 KG and 1.2 KG respectively.
The new updated lineup from Samsung comes with Intel’s 7th Generation Kaby Lake processors. The US only 15-inch version also comes with a dedicated NVIDIA GT 940MX GPU. Furthermore, it offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB PCIe SSD. For connectivity, the company has provided, one Thunderbolt 3/USB-C, two full-size USB 3.0, and one USB 2.0. However, even after providing almost all necessary ports the ultrabook misses the HDMI port and for this reason, users need to rely on adapters.
Even after giving so many ports, Samsung has still managed to cut 0.61-inch thickness and make it noticeably thin. The overall size of the notebook has also been reduced. This has been possible due to the serious cut of bezels around the display.
Other than all this Samsung also advertises the battery life of the device to be 15 hours. Besides, this laptop also features adaptive fast charging which is pretty impressive. To charge up the battery completely, less than 2 hours of charge is enough and charging it for 20-minutes will help it to last around 3 hours, claims Samsung.
