After launching the NVIDIA GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060, NVIDIA has again launched two more GTX cards in the 10 series. The new cards are GTX 1050 and GTX 1050Ti. These two cards are made for entry level gamers and for those with a tight budget. Both of the cards are based on NVIDIA’s pascal architecture and focuses on 1080p gaming. As per the company, many games including, The Division, GTA V and Bioshock Infinite can be played at 60 FPS on 1080p with these cards.

    GTX 1050 Ti

As per as the numbers are concerned, the GTX 1050 and 1050Ti are more powerful than the past generation GTX 950 card. Earlier generation GTX 950 had 640 cuda cores and 2GB DDR5 memory while the GTX 1050Ti has got 4 GB DDR5 memory along with 768 cuda cores. NVIDIA also claims the GTX 1050Ti and 1050 are as much as 1.5X more powerful than the GTX 950. None of the cards support Virtual Reality (VR) and that’s quite normal because of their low price. However, NVIDIA says these new cards will be taking up to 75W of power consumption. This means you won’t need to have an external power source anymore.

The GTX 1050 will be available to buy on October 25th at $109, while the GTX 1050 Ti is expected to go up for sale on November 8th for $139 and more. NVIDIA says that these budget GPU’s will not compromise with performance. However, you shouldn’t expect to get more than 60 FPS on newer games. In case if you are looking for a better card NVIDIA’s GTX 1060, 1070 and AMD’s RX 470 and 480 are worth looking at.
