Today, Xiaomi launched its new Mi Pad 3, on its Chinese website. The new tablets look like Apple’s iPad. Quite identical to Mi Pad 2, there are some hardware upgrades compared to the predecessor. For now, this is only available in Champagne Gold variant.
Xiaomi launches Mi Pad 3 with a hexa-core processor.
The new Pad 3 has an all metal body. The display sports Retina display with a resolution of 2048x1536p & 326ppi density.
The device will run on MediaTek’s MT8176 Hexa-Core processor clocked at 2.1GHz alongside 4GB of L PDDR3 RAM. It 64GB of onboard storage & is non-expandable.
In the camera department, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2. Th front camera supports a 5-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.0.
This time, Xiaomi provides a bigger battery in Pad 3. It comes with 6600mAh battery. It is quite a noticeable change in Pad 3, as last year’s Mi Pad 2 sports only 6190mAh battery. The company claims that the battery will long for 867 hours (standby).
This is going to be an MIUI 8 based Android Marshmallow tablet, but a Windows version is not known till now.
This device comes with USB Type-C port, so expect a fast charging support. It also supports WiFi, Bluetooth & GPS.
Availability in the global market isn’t known. As last Mi Pad 2 didn’t enter Indian Market, same way Pad 3 might not come in the same.
