With the Anniversary update, Microsoft has added many new features in Windows 10, one of them is the mobile hotspot. If you have updated your notebook to Windows 10 Anniversary Update then turning your notebook into a WiFi hotspot is really easy. You just need to perform a couple of steps. It is worth noting that it doesn’t matter whether you are going to share a wireless or wired internet connection of your notebook.
- Step 1: Go to start and click ‘Settings‘ or just press ‘Windows’ + ‘I’
- Step 2: Now click on ‘Network & Internet’
- Step 3: From the left side bar click select ‘Mobile Hotspot’
- Step 4: Finally turn on the ‘Share my Internet connection with other devices’
Also you can change your network name and password from the ‘Edit’ option.
In case you don’t have a router or that’s not working this process can help you. But keep in mind that battery will be draining a lot faster when hotspot is turned on.
