Opera launches a Free and Dedicated VPN App for Android

After adding a built-in VPN service in its desktop browser, Opera today introduced a dedicated VPN app for Android users. Opera launched the same app for iOS a few days ago and now they are bringing the same to Android.  If something on the web is blocked in your country or region then VPN is the best way of anonymously accessing it. There are many VPN apps already available on Android and to stand out Opera is giving free unlimited access.

The app and its services are free to use but there will be ads. Also, Opera will be sharing your data usage habits with third parties anonymously. Opera also notes:

It’s important to understand that this is not data about what you do with your phone, but rather this is data about how a large group of people use their phones.

The app has a very clean user Interface and is very easy to use. As soon as you are connected to VPN you will see a key icon in your notification bar. You can also choose VPN between Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore, or the United States. The app is powered by a company named SurfEasy which Opera acquired last year.
