Xiaomi launches Mi MIX in China

Now Xiaomi is launching it’s smartphone like thunders releases from Thor’s Hammer! Just after launching Mi Note 2  a few days back in China, now the company launched Mi MIX for CNY 3,499 (approx. 35, 000 INR). The device is first of among all the devices present in the market, sporting a 91.3% screen to body ratio!

Xiaomi Mi MIX – The beast!

Mi MIX is a limited edition device. Xiaomi made the device possible by collaborating with French designer, Phillipe Stark. The device is currently on Pre-order right now but will be available for purchase by November 4rth.

The device will be available in 2 variants. The one with 4GB/128GB will be available for CNY 3,499(approx. 35,000INR) and another one with 6GB/256GB (with an 18k gold line on rear  camera and fingerprint scanner) will be available for CNY 3,999(approx. 40,000INR).

Highlights

Mi MIX has an almost bezel-less display, with a curved edge on the top and overall sports a 91.3% screen-body ratio. It also equipped with a ceramic body. Another awesome point of interest is the piezoelectric acoustic ceramic earpiece speaker, as well as the ultrasonic proximity sensor rather than the traditional front-facing infrared sensor. Even the company equipped a 50% smaller front camera, which is  placed right at the extreme right corner at the bottom.

Wait, What!!?? Apple you are a dead man xD

Specifications

The devices sport dual SIM slots (Nano+Nano), having a 6.4-inch display with 17:9 aspect ratio. The screen has a resolution of 1080×2040 with 362 ppi and a 94 percent NTSC color gamut. A Snapdragon 821 SoC runs under-the-hood, coupled with a 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Xiaomi also included a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture lens, and a dual-tone LED flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera.

Other than 4G support, the device also includes a GPS/ A-GPS, NFC with Mi-Pay support, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and a USB Type-C port. The device also has an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, electronic compass, and gyroscope. It is also equipped with a massive 4400mah battery and as a piece of cherry on the cake, also has Quick Charge v3.0.

It ships with a leather case in the box measures 158.8×81.9×7.9 and is 209 grams in weight.

Well, the device is absolutely a beast!  But Xiaomi should have added more pixels to the screen as 362ppi wouldn’t be looking that good and the company should have added an 8-megapixel camera instead of 5-megapixel. Overall, the specifications are quite perfect.
