LeEco is bringing its Super3 TV series to India, which includes two 65-inch models and a 55-inch model

LeEco, the Chinese Internet Ecosystem company has announced its Super3 TV series in India. After the success with its ‘Superphones’, the company now wants to put smart TVs in every Indian household. LeEco is bringing its Super3 TV series to India first, which includes two 65-inch models and a 55-inch model, and not the latest Super4 series that was launched in China in April. The Super3 television series is relatively a year old one.

The Le Super3 Max65 is the most expensive of the lot priced at Rs 1,49, 790, while Super3 X65 will cost Rs 99,790, and Super3 X55 is the cheapest at Rs 59,790.  The new television sets will be available on LeMall.com and Flipkart during preview sale dates between August 10-12. The company will offer Rs 5000 instant discount to all HDFC credit card users during the sale. After the preview sale, LeEco’s Super3 series televisions will be available via a flash sale. The company is yet to confirm dates for the flash sale.

With these Super TVs, LeEco is pushing its content ecosystem, which was announced early this year to more devices. The company is banking on its disruptive pricing and breakthrough technology for a push in the premium TV segment, which is currently dominated by Samsung, LG, and Sony.

LeEco says India has 234 million households of which 167 million households already own a TV. The Chinese company says most of these television sets are old, and it aims to turn every other TV into a smart one. LeEco TVs start at Rs 59,790, which sounds exorbitant even after taking the specifications into account.

LeEco Super3 TVs come with 4K UHD resolution with LG IPS display and 178-degree viewing angle. The 55-inch model comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, while the 65-inch model has 3GB RAM and 16GB memory. The Super3 TVs are powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with Mali GPU.

LeEco says it’s TVs also offer low latency of fewer than 2.5 frames. The flagship model Super3 Max 65 supports FPR 3D 4K UHD and Boundary Blur Enhancement. As far as audio is concerned, the TVs offer 2.1 stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS support.

While LeEco has managed to curb the price barrier with its smartphones, the television sets are totally aiming at the premium segment.
