It has not been long since Samsung pulled out the Galaxy Note 7 from the market. But the company is already working on its next flagship the Galaxy S8. To move focus from the Note 7 massacre and to make their brand value up once again, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy S8 in early 2017.
Recently some leaks have surfaced about the device. As per Chinese microblogging site Weibo, the upcoming flagship will have a massive 256 GB of Internal Storage. However, it is still unclear if this would be the standard variant or the costlier one. Moreover, the device should come with 6 GB of RAM following the latest market trend of Android devices. Many devices like Huawei Mate 9, LeEco Le Max and Xiaomi Note 2 come with 6 GB RAM these days and the upcoming flagship is expected to be an addition to the list.
The leaks also suggest the device may feature a dual rear camera setup. Again, there are still no details available on the lens and megapixels it will be featuring. Following the iPhones, Samsung may also introduce pressure sensitive display for the first time in their Galaxy line up. Not only that, taking a break from the Galaxy S6 like design the Galaxy S8 may also see a facelift. The list continues as the device will also have the iris scanner from the Galaxy Note 7. Weibo also suggests that Samsung will add an optical fingerprint scanner to enhance the security of the device.
To sum up, the list is pretty big and shows us what to expect from the Galaxy S8. However, like for every other device, this is also a rumor which means you should take it with a grain of salt. On the final note, we hope Samsung will be paying more attention in quality check this time. After all, people won’t like another exploding flagship from Samsung.
