Its time when hyperlocal delivery and On-Demand home services are on rise and getting traction in the Indian Startup ecosystem.

Latest in the race is Mumbai based startup Zimmber, which is into on-demand based home services.

They have raised USD 2 Million in a pre Seris A round led by IDG Ventures and Omdiyar Networks, including Ram Shriram founding board member of Google and TV Mohandas Pai.

Interesting is that this is the third round of funding by this early stage startup.

Earlier they had raised funding of USD 400K from some of the Angel Investors including InMobi’s Naveen Tiwari.

Prior to this, Zimmber managed to get seed round from Praveen Sinha, Vivek Khemka, Satyam Bansal, and Alex Kuruvilla.

Just a month back this startup acquired Mumbai based online laundry service Dhulai to boost their services platform.

CEO and Co-Founder Anubhab Goel commented:

Organizing the extremely fragmented local services marketplace, and trusting servicemen with local services is a very big problem that the consumer faces currently. Hence, by training these people, whom we call Champs in our vocabulary, Zimmber is trying to solve the existing problem.

Zimmber is currently operational in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Gurgaon with and are planning to expand to 37 new cities with additional 20 service categories.
