Private aviation services provider JetSetGo secured a significant breakthrough recently when it notched up $1.9 million from Puneet Dalmia of the Dalmia Bharat Group in a round of pre-series A funding. The startup is expected to use the raised funding to expand their excellent network to many other airports, besides covering a much greater range of services, such as air ambulance and helicopter flights.

Founded in 2013 by Kanika Tekriwal and Sudheer Peria, JetSetGo was the first private aviation operator to enable online booking of private jet services. Currently, the startup operates a fleet of 80 jets and 5 7-seaters. The latter were acquired on a wet-lease and profit-sharing model recently. Such easy booking of private jet services ensure flexible travel options being provided to executives and business professionals, who often require effective options at short notice. A wide variety of planes are operated by the company—these include turbo props, midsize jets, heavy jets and light jets. Thus, a wide range of travel requirements can be fulfilled by JetSetGo. Heavy Jets (such as the Gulfstream G650) for instance allow passengers to travel upto 12,500 km uninterrupted.
