Kyazoonga- An e-ticketing startup recently raised undisclosed amount from Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons. Startup foresees this as an opportunity to expand into international markets viz. United States, West Asia, Pakistan and the Caribbean Islands.
Startup mainly focuses on sports and entertainment events only. This is what differs them in the long run from the existing players. Startup has served ticketing market in India along with domestic sport events such as Indian Premier League and Pro Kabaddi League. It has also been in events like the ICC Cricket World Cup and the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. It is in talks to be a ticketing partner for the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Mera Events and BookMyShow are prominent competitors for Kyazoonga.
“We have our own IP and ticketing technology platform that enabled us to scale up domestically,” said Kyazoonga founder Neetu Bhatia, an MIT graduate.
Founded in 2007, startup has sold 25 million+ tickets in 2015. It aims at forming partnerships with sports franchises, music concert promoters and event organisers.
