The aviation ministry came up with the decision to release the ban on the construction of Jewar airport. The ministry has given a green signal for the construction of this airport which is estimated to be worth INR 6700 crore. This airport will be the second aviation airport in the Jewar region and will be on the Greater Noida outskirts.
Rajiv Nayan Choubey – the secretary of civil aviation has confirmed the news of the construction of the airport after it has passed the test of technical feasibility. While presenting his views on the matter, Rajiv stated, “It should be up and running in three years.” Earlier, on December 5th, the plan has also received the clearance from the government which further enhanced the chance of the airport to get finalized approval for its construction.
Land aquisition will start soon
The airport is expected to cover a land of total 3,000 hectares. The construction of this airport is most likely to get started by the end of the year which means that the final airport will be ready by 2021 or 2022. It is also expected that the bids for the airport will get opened in the month of August and the final name will be out by the year-end.
The airport is expected to be a huge success for the people of Uttar Pradesh and will reduce the traveling time. Presently, people of UP travel more than 25 Km for accessing the facility of either Delhi or Lucknow airport. This airport will cut down this traveling distance along with enhancing the facilities for the passengers.
Other than the benefits that this airport will offer to the passengers, it will also accelerate the infrastructure of the region. Let’s wait and watch how amazingly this airport work and help in the betterment of the Jewar region along with the betterment of the living standard of the people.
