Blackberry Mercury to sport QWERTY keypad

    Leaks everywhere! This time, leak reports that Blackberry Mercury will be sporting a QWERTY keypad. Firm’s DTEK 50 and DTEK 60 aren’t that successful, just because they were rebadged Alcatel Devices.

    This time, the firm will make “Mercury”. This may be the last device they will be manufacturing.

    Chinese Social Media, Weibo reports two  slim side-bezeled, a front camera and ambient light sensor.

    Blackberry Mercury ~ Leaks

    Mercury is yet to be announced. But the leaks suggests that it will have capacitive buttons b/w screen and keyboard.

    Mercury was spotted on benchmark website GeekBench with a model no. BBB100-1.  The benchmarks point out the device will run on Android Nougat. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-Core processor is present. This processor is clocked at 2GHz. This can be an 8xx series processor. The device will have 3GB RAM.

    The phone got 913 on the single-core score and 5046 on the multi-core score.

    The Mercury will come equipped with a 4.5-inch FHD display, though display technology used is not known., with an aspect ratio 3:2. The phone will also sport a physical QWERTY keyboard below the touch-enabled display. The storage is expected to be 32GB. The phone might come with 18-megapixel back camera and8-megapixel front camera, also backed by a 3,400 mAh battery.

    CEO John Chen had confirmed that the company was working on an Android device with a physical keyboard. This is a thing that has is eventually missing in both the DTEK devices that were launched recently with the BlackBerry name.

     

    DTEK 50 & DTEK 60 ~ Specs. Flashback

    DTEK 50 sports 5.2-inch FHD display and have an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor. It has 16GB inbuilt storage with 3GB RAM, expandable up to 2TB. Coming down to the camera module, the phone has 13MP rear camera with auto-focus and PDAF and a front 8MP camera.

    DTEK 60 sports 5.5-inch QHD  display with Snapdragon 820. It features 4GB RAM and 32GB storage . It is expandable up to 256GB.  Coming down to Battery, it is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery. Nevertheless, the camera features a 21MP rear PDAF camera, along with an 8MP front shooter.

    This may be the last device been manufactured and branded under  Blackberry. Since the devices from the firm is getting lowest buyers, it has very little to no chances to have  a come back to the market. Still, we hope that this device may get little hit in the market!
