The rising demands of the expanding middle class is causing a huge boom in the beauty services sector. Founded in May 2015 by IIT-KGP alumni Kavish Desai, Shashank Gupta and Prateek Jain, StayGlad is one of the rising stars in this segment. The startup recently succeeded in raising series A funding from Bessemer Venture Partners and Anil Chopra, former CEO of Lakme Lever. StayGlad had earlier raised seed funding from Tracxn Labs and Sahil Barua in June 2015.

A variety of beauty services are provided by StayGlad’s skilled team of beauticians. These range from facials, waxing and threading to hair styling and massaging. Valuable information such as the price of the service in question, and the exact kinds of treatment that would be applied are also provided.
StayGlad’s services are also very easy to avail of. Booking services involves a simple three-stage process-first, the service to be booked is chosen, followed by the specification of the user’s location, and the exact time when he wants to avail of the service in question. StayGlad prides itself on delivering services efficiently, and punctually. An app has also been launched for the benefit of Android smartphone users. This allows StayGlad to reach out to a larger audience, and enhances the convenience factor of its services.
Growth and prospects
StayGlad has already garnered an excellent customer base, as is reflected by a 20% weekly growth rate, and 70% monthly repeat orders. Its emphasis on customer satisfaction is likely to see the startup go from strength to strength in coming months.
