Many food tech startups are floundering, but this hasn’t dissuaded certain other key players in this sector, who continue to strive hard. One such startup is EasyKhaana which raised $100,000 in angel funding from a private investor. The startup commenced operations in September, and has gone from strength to strength since. It is based principally in Gurgaon, but delivers meals to individuals and corporate based in West Delhi and Central Delhi as well.

Set up by Aayush Anand and Vishrut Gawri, EasyKhaana claims to be “Ghar ka Khana” startup, which seeks to provide the comfort, taste and nostalgia of home-cooked meals to people who may otherwise find it hard to get such meals. EasyKhaana targets, in particular, students, companies and working professionals who are hard pressed for time. In this respect, one can say that its prime competitor is not a startup which seeks to provide luxury dining experiences, but rather the small dhabas which provide homely meals. Providing such nutritious and tasty meals at affordable prices is EasyKhaana’s chief aim.
The startup operates as a complete chain. In addition to cooking homely meals at its central kitchen, it also integrates transport and delivery systems into one package. Thus, all the end-user has to do is to give a call to EasyKhaana or book a meal at its excellent online platform. The startup’s founders claim that their use of eco-friendly, hygienic packaging and emphasis on the end-user’s overall experience sets them apart from innumerable other food tech startups.
