Samsung’s Tizen Powered LTE Device Z2 Launched in India

    Samsung Mobile India today officially launched their newest device in the Z series, Samsung Z2. For those who don’t know, Z series is powered by Tizen OS and it focuses on the low budget segment. In India, the device is priced at Rupees 4590 ($70). The earlier devices launched were Z1 and Z3 which were introduced last year.

    The Samsung Z2 is a very basic smartphone which features a 3.97-inch display. The device runs with a 1.5 Ghz quad core processor, 1 GB of RAM. The phone also has 8 GB of internal storage and 1500 mAh battery. The rear camera is a 5 Megapixel shooter and the front facing camera has a VGA (0.3 MP) sensor.  The device has also support for LTE (4G).

    Samsung Mobile India’s VP of mobile devices, Manu Sharma said,

    Samsung Z2 makes 4G accessible and relevant to the unique needs of feature phone users and first time smartphone buyers. It brings consumers a fast and affordable mobile internet experience that will democratize 4G usage in the country.

    Samsung also notes that buyers will also get early access to Reliance Jio 4G network and Jio will provide free unlimited data to users for viewing movies and streaming songs through Jio Apps. The Samsung Z2 will be available in local stores as well as in Paytm to buy for Rupees 4590.
