The subbrand of Huawei, Honor is all set to launch their latest mid-range device in India. The event is set for October 12th and as per some hints, the price of the device can be around Rs 28000. Honor 8 has already launched in the USA and it has received pretty good feedbacks.
Built on the footing of the excellent Huawei P9, Honor 8 sports the same dual-camera setup with two 12 MP cameras. One of the camera is monochrome while the other one is color. In addition, the device has a dual toned glass back and metal finish which looks very premium. Under the hood, the device has octa-core Kirin 950 SoC coupled with the Mali T880-MP4 GPU. The device has got 4 GB of RAM and will have 32 or 64 GB storage options. Moreover, there’s the same 5.2-inch 1080p display of Huawei P9.
Other than all this, there’s also a 8 MP front facing camera, fingerprint scanner and 3000 mAh battery. For connectivity, there’s WiFI AC, Bluetooth 4.2, LTE with VoLTE and NFC. In the software part, the device comes with Android Mashmallow with Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 on top.
Honor 8 will be available in Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue and Pearl White color options. The phone will be competing with the LeEco Le Max 2, One Plus 3 and Mi 5. As said earlier, it is expected that the pricing will be around Rupees 28000. While the pricing will play a key role, the dual camera setup will surely give an edge to the Honor 8.
