It seems there are too many bugs on iOS! Previously android used to have bugs but now Apple has taken the charge to bugify its own OS! Now, there is a new bug in iPhone again! A few days back we shared a video about another crashing bug in iOS. Now there’s again another bug present in the OS.
Another bug in iOS can crash your iPhone with a single message!
Youtuber EverythingApplePro has brought this bug to surface, claiming that this bug can freeze your phone for a maximum 3 minutes, later back to life automatically.
In his video, he demonstrates the bug.
He just simply inputs a white flag icon, a 0 and a rainbow emoji from his own phone and sends to another phone. After receiving the message, the other phone freezes instantly, showing no pop-up notifications. This eventually sends the phone to freeze state, causing it to crash instantly without any warning!
The Guardian reports that this bug affects iOS 10.2 and below up to iOS 8. However, the other version of this bug, which is, embed this string on a contact file, share it on iMessage via iCloud, affects all iOS 10.2 devices.
Vincent Desmurs, who discovered this bug, in his blog mentions;
“When your victim clicks on the message, their Messages app will attempt to load a large amount of data that causes the system malfunction. However, the text in the file is very complicated for the system and causes a CPU average and freezing the app. If you close the app and try to reopen it, iOS will try to reload the previous message but can’t because it’s the same file containing too much text for the system to handle properly.”
